The Library Ladies
Welcome to the Ware Elementary Library Media Center! We are committed to meeting the reading, research, and technology needs of our students. Whether it is individual, small group, or an entire class instruction, our media staff is here to assist. A wide variety of materials, from print to non-print, are available.
At Ware Elementary, we use the independent reading program Reading Counts to encourage students to to read fluently for comprehension and increase inferencing skills. According to their website, “Scholastic Reading Counts! is an independent reading program for Grades K–12 which combines reading practice and software-based reading assessment. Instructionally flexible, mastery focused, and professionally written, SRC! is the program PROVEN to develop reading skills, help raise test scores, and motivate students to achieve reading success.”
